Adam Beard will join with Wales’ World Cup squad in Japan next week.
The Ospreys lock has been admitted to hospital Wales ahead of the squad’s death on Wednesday.
Wales’ opening World Cup game is from Georgia in Toyota around September 23.
A Welsh Rugby Union spokesperson stated:”Adam Beard has been admitted to hospital in Wales with suspected appendicitis by Wales group medics before their squad’s departure last Wednesday.
“He had his appendix removed uneventfully after that afternoon and is recovering well. He will rejoin the rest of the squad in Japan early next week.”
23, beard, will be assessed on arrival with the expectation.
As he continues his comeback from a stress fracture in his 27, wales are very likely to function as Beard’s fellow lock Cory Hill for that game.
Hill was appointed in Wales’ 31-man World Cup set, together with the second pool fixture against Australia on September 29 being his first goal.
